00:00 Howdy, folks. Welcome to another Sapience Month release video. The releases are getting bigger and bigger and bigger. so I'm going to go through some of the key major features that, that shipped with the AORUS release and then do a bit of a demo of some highlighted items. 00:18 But, it really was a, an enormous release. Recommend you read through the whole release notes webpage if you're using Sapience day-to-day. 00:25 There's a lot of stuff in here that, can, can help you and of course Sapient's built this website which is pretty cool. 00:32 So five new AI models, more than a hundred changes across the system, four major new features. Six new store agents. 00:39 Let's get into it. so this table of contents gives you sort of a good snapshot. It's also here on the side of the release page. 00:47 But, we've got super agents, real-time team chat, dreaming mode, mobile app, new models, revamped catalog, and then a bunch of changes for developers which I won't do in this video. 00:58 Now there are some other videos that you can dig into, so I'll probably go light on these in this one, but things like using Team of Agents, using the new multiplayer real-time chat, there are videos already on the release page for those. 01:12 I'll throw out the help docs. All right, so the first, major new feature is this concept of super agents. What's a super agent? 01:21 A super agent is essentially sort of team of agents, by, by design and, and sort of starting with a team of agents, right? 01:32 So, as the heading says, if you're CEO of a company, large or small, you don't generally tell an individual contributor in the finance team how to do something for you, you talk to the head of department, you talk to the CFO. 01:45 So it's true with technology, legal, marketing, sales, etc. And so, we've built out these department head super agents that know how to marshal all of the other agents in Sapience and all the other skills. 02:02 So between the agents that are available in Sapience and the skills, there's more than 80 different sort of chunks of technology and functionality there. 02:11 It's more than anyone can keep track of. I can't keep track of it. And so these super agents become the the front door to all of that capability and so the super agent is now a new proper noun in the in the Sapience vocabulary you're actually find it in our glossary now and it's essentially a command 02:33 and control agent that acts as a functional department head and that is hyper tuned to run agent swarms in that functional domain. 02:40 So scroll down a little bit here, this helps you visualize it, right? So your Sapience workspace starts to look a lot like a normal company all chart and if you're a tiny little company, this is incredibly powerful. 02:51 If you're a big company, it's also incredibly powerful because let's say you're an individual contributor at a Fortune 100 company, and you've got a finance question. 03:01 Well, you surely can't go and talk to the real CFO of your company, but you can use the CFO agent. 03:07 And you might then be thinking, well, I am a CFO. What, why would I need something like this? Each of these department head agents are designed to work in one of two modes. 03:19 So mode number one is to fill that gap in a team, right? So if you don't have a CFO, you can ask the CFO agent to do super complex work. 03:29 Build me a three year forecast cashflow model based on, you know, subscription bookings with a conversion funnel. and it'll do that. 03:38 But equally, sort of the second mode is they're designed to act as a wingman or sort of chief of staff for that professional. 03:49 So if you were, if you are a CFO in the real world, then the CFO agent is going to be your favorite technology tool across all of your tools from all of your vendors, right? 04:00 So each of these can act as the, as the thing, but more importantly, they can support a real CFO, a real CMO, etc. 04:09 And I'll show you those in a second. Team chat is what it sounds like. So this is like Microsoft Teams or Slack or WhatsApp groups. 04:17 This is real-time chat between many humans and many agents. And we've had this functionality in other places within Sapience, but it's now streaming. 04:26 It's streamlined, easy to use, and sort of first-class citizen in the user interface. And there's a, there's a dedicated video on that here. 04:36 Scrolling down. Dreaming mode. So this is quite cool. Sapience is historically had a 14 memory system, right? So it remembers things in context. 04:45 Agents have memory. Your workspace has got memory. Projects have memory. But we've sort of borrowed from the lexicon of human psychology, where when we humans sleep we form long-term memories and now so too does Sapience. 04:57 So it's a fifth layer to our memory system. Overnight Sapience analyzes your recent work and activity. If it identifies discrete durable facts, right, so Ken lives in Sydney at the moment, you know, for example, it will then save that persistently. 05:15 and it will also track your recent activity, but those things age out. So it basically intelligently creates memories in the system in these categories of fact, activity, and preference. 05:26 It won't junk up the memory store with activity for long these age out after 45 days but therefore all agents are aware of sort of what you've recently been working on with other agents and we found in testing that this just really improves the day-to-day sort of usefulness of Sapience, and in particular 05:45 the suggestions that she gives you. Mobile. I said it was a big release. So we've had a mobile web application forever. 05:54 There's now an installable mobile app on iPhone and Android devices and tablets as well. You can see a screenshot here and there'll be a separate video for that in the watch section here shortly. 06:03 But Sapience Mobile is terrific. It's a full-featured version of Sapience. It is not in any way a dumbed-down mobile app. 06:12 Everything you can do in the Sapience desktop application or the Sapience web application is available on mobile. and then in terms of new AI models, your Claude Opus 5 shipped. 06:23 We support within 48 hours. Fable 5, that's, that was available on release for all enterprise customers, but it's now available to all customers, as part of plan mode. 06:33 If you're not using plan mode, check it out. It's terrific. Muse, is Meta's new line, so Facebook's new line of AI models. 06:39 We support both of their recent models. They're terrific as well. Kimiko 3 out of China, and we then also overhauled the AI Catalog. 06:52 I'll actually go there next because it, from there I can highlight a few things. So this is the public catalog, and you'll notice a couple of changes if you're familiar with this. 07:02 The first is sort of the introduction of this featured badge. the featured badge is basically code for a super agent, an agent that is good at marshalling teams of agents. 07:12 But let's say I go down here to the finance section, right? So here are all of the, you know, sort of finance department agents and skills. 07:20 And you can see there is that CFO super agent I was just talking about in sales and marketing. There's your CMO super agent, product and engineering. 07:30 There's your chief product officer, chief product and technology officer super agent. So that's quite cool. Now if I pop across to the app proper, I'll just highlight a whole myriad of things in a brief demo here. 07:48 So I'm logged in as John Demo, and immediately you see this little message bubble here? That's sort of a new thing and particularly useful in the context of group messages with other humans, right, so you can quickly see where you've got sort of unread messages and that's normally going to come from 08:08 other humans, right, because if you were chatting with an agent, you would generally know, but you can also, within view all conversations, you can quickly filter it to just view unread. 08:20 And if you're like me, and that annoys you, having the unread bubble there, if you know that you can get, you need to get rid of it, you can, you can just clear all the unread bubbles, if you like. 08:31 We've also changed the iconography on the left, you see the little sort of multiple human silhouettes that now indicates group chat. 08:39 And so if we we talk about speaking of group chat let me show you that so that's now under the new menu there's team chat also notice that we've just sort of made all of the shortcuts shortcut keys a bit more visible here. 08:52 You can also find all the shortcut keys by looking at the shortcuts card for those keyboard warriors out there. I certainly am one, but if I go into team chat, so this interface just streamlines setting up groups, right? 09:06 I can select multiple humans and just have a chat with humans only, or I can select multiple agents and just have a team of agents chat, or, you know, the next level of play is multiple humans and then multiple agents right so that's terrific and you can check out separate video on that if you want to 09:28 . Now, while we're here on dashboard, I'll just highlight some of the changes the team made this last month to dashboard, so if you don't know, you know, you can collapse these sort of various modules on the dashboard. 09:41 Also, if you don't like the layout of the dashboard up here in customized dashboard, you can decide what is shown, whether it's expanded or not, so you've actually got full control over your dashboard. 09:52 Within favorites you again may not know this but you can sort of drag and drop to reorder favorites and the same is true over in the sidebar. 10:03 Also within view favorites you can you can change the order of those things. If you're not using favorites then you can't do that. 10:09 Highly recommended. The some other things you'll see up here connected apps, right? So if you're not using connected apps, this is just an incredible sort of superpower and in this demo account I haven't connected these because of shared public account, but we added some additional ones this last month 10:29 . Slack and Google Slides, but in my main account I've got 13 apps connected and using it with your remote using motion using it within all of your various systems. 10:38 It's just an incredible way to have Sapience help you with all of the tools in your daily workflow. Some other tweaks to the interface, you'll notice that down here, there's a help button. 10:50 The same thing is up here, right? So that is for sort of the built-in help agent, which is terrific. And that, of course, indexes into all of our help and docs. 11:02 Speaking of help and docs, we've been building out the tutorials and workflows section of the docs. So if you haven't checked this out, I recommend you do. 11:11 but sort of each of the major features, I've now got good videos and under tutorials and work, and walkthroughs. There's a ton of videos here. 11:20 Some of these apps videos are terrific, so showing how to use Safe Sapience with SharePoint, something I definitely recommend you check out. 11:28 Now we talked about mobile. Let me just show you how to get that on your phone. Down here in the main menu under apps, you can go to phone, put in your cell phone number, hit send link, and then that'll send you the installation link to your device. 11:47 We list the number that comes from there. It comes from a US number. Alright, a couple of other things I want to show you. 11:56 Let's talk about dreaming mode with the release notes. Down here in the main menu, I'm going to go Manage and I'm going to go to Memories. 12:05 Now historically, for users, this was likely empty, right? And part of the reason why we released dreaming mode is because users were not making, sort of regular use of the memory system. 12:17 Now, if you look at this screenshot here, you'll see these memories are sort of dated and they're tagged. They're quite dense and terse and, but information dense. 12:27 These are essentially really well created memories, right? Memories sort of structured and written in such a way that AI agents will really get benefit from particularly the categorizations into, say, fact, preference, activity, instruction. 12:41 All of these were created by Dreaming Mode automatically, right? So, So we know that users aren't going to go to this level of detail and rigor when it comes to creating memories and now you don't have to. 12:51 That's just all taken care of for you by the system, which is terrific. And you should notice, sort of Sapient's being even more on point than she has been historically. 13:01 Now I'm going to, pop across to chat and show you some items over there. So the first thing I'm going to show you is, I want to bring up an example of one of these super agents working, and in that context I'll also just show you a couple of other tweaks to the user interface. 13:23 So, if you don't know about this focus mode, check it out. It's great. It's particularly good for when you're doing demos, right? 13:28 Because you can, it sort of hides all the Chrome, and just allows you to focus on, you know, the work session. 13:34 You can still, if you click on, say, views and reports, you still get access to all that, those options. So nothing goes away. 13:42 It's just a little bit more streamlined. So here what I did was I used plan mode and I asked it to use the CMO super agent to analyze our website and to review the messaging and to build a new website with alternate messaging. 13:57 And it worked for about 30 minutes. You can see all these sort of things that it did here. and this was an example of, of using plan mode and a super agent. 14:08 And if you don't know, again, you can sort of look at these summaries up here. but with, well, a couple more interface things, and then I'll, I'll sort of talk about plan mode. 14:15 there's now this option here to float an existing chat. So we've always had, and the ability to sort of create multiple chats on screen for projects and files and others. 14:26 But you can now convert a full screen chat into a full floating chat, which is quite a handy feature. using, uh, these floating chats, they're terrific because you can grab this drag handle and move it around. 14:45 And so if you're say, in a project, a power user move is to fire multiple chats, right? so I can fire up another chat here with the project agents. 14:58 And I often actually work like this. So full screen share is terrific enough for doing a big focus work stream. 15:04 But particularly if I'm doing sort of getting oriented on, you know, on a new piece of work, I'll run two or three. 15:12 I've got a big wine monitor. I'm demoing this from my laptop. but the, I'll run sort of two parallel chats like this to, to rapidly get work done in multiple, chat streams. 15:23 So check that out if you haven't tried that before. but then just back back on the main chat interface. I just want to show you a few tricks, not necessarily released in August, but I think the things that people don't necessarily use every day. 15:40 So I'm just going to fire up an entire new chat here, with the, the built-in sapience agent. And first thing I want to show you is that when you're chatting, if you've never used plan mode, you can just do sort of shift tab and then it goes into plan mode and then write your prompt. 16:01 And that is an incredibly powerful thing to do. And here's why. Now, in this example, I'm using a generic agent, the sapience agent, but in the real world, let's say you're working with a marketing agent or some of the new super agents. 16:12 If you pop it into plan mode, it will then use Fable 5, which is currently the best model on earth, and it will always be the best model on earth, right? 16:21 According to the intelligence benchmarks, whatever that is on the day you use plan mode. And it will then create a plan and supervise the core agent and making certain that it delivers against that plan. 16:35 And I can't, it takes a little while to demo, but you then sort of get a pop-up and it shows you as it chomps through the plan. 16:42 If you're familiar with say CLI coding tools like Code Code or Codex, very similar to that. But plan mode is something people don't necessarily know about, which is terrific. 16:53 Another trick in chat is that you can hit the at symbol at any time, and you can use that to pick another. 17:01 Agent that you want to tag in, right? So, people ask about how do we do a team of agents? You can actually do a team of agents in any chat, right? 17:10 By at tagging. Similar thing works with the slash command with skills. So if I want to do a report, I can type, I could say, use the report skill. 17:20 I could manually pick it from the picker. Or if you're a keyboard warrior, just hit the forward slash key. And that also brings up the skill selector, which is also pretty cool. 17:33 All right, so I think those are the, Oh, no, one last thing. I want to highlight. If I go back to dashboard, I'm not sure that everybody uses the all my tasks feature as much as perhaps they should, but I just want to highlight it. 17:50 So if I go to all my tasks, so this has been, it's an option. It's been in views and reports for six months. 17:59 So you can also access it from here, right? But with all my tasks, it's terrific because all my tasks does, it does two things. 18:07 Firstly it shows me everything across every project. In my main account I've got about 40 projects open and that's important. 18:14 If the project's been archived they're excluded from the list but it's what all my tasks does is every outbound task and inbound tasks, every task I have created and assigned to myself, to an agent, to another human, but also every task that's been assigned to me, right? 18:34 And right from here, you can select and go to that task. You can multi-select and do bulk edit, right? So you could change the due date on many tasks at once, you can change the status on many tasks at once, and then our various views are supported, right? 18:52 So if I, you know, particularly, I do particularly like the Eisenhower base. So I can view all my tasks across all my projects in the Eisenhower matrix or equally the Kanban board or equally the spreadsheet mode. 19:05 If you haven't tried spreadsheet mode for task management, it's terrific because you can edit and manage many tasks all at once, right? 19:15 So if you know, if you want to sort of add lots of tasks or add goals quickly, spreadsheet mode is just similar to like using Google Sheets. 19:24 you know, in the olden days, to track your tasks. So that's, that's really terrific. And all of these views apply to the tasks within a single project. 19:35 and the new, those, the bulk edit items that I was just showing you, those are now available inside a single project too, right? 19:43 So this ability to like delete in bulk, change status, change due date in bulk. but those are all, those are some power user features there. 19:51 There's also this browse by tag feature. I'm not sure how many people are using tags, but they're terrific, right? So you're throughout Zopians, you can tag items and this view lets you see all of stuff across the entire app by tag. 20:06 So that, so if I go say marketing, we'll see what is in this account. So in this account, tag for marketing is a note and two memories, right? 20:15 And from here you can delete a tag. What that will do is remove that tag from all the resources. So if we just see, it gives you a little warning, right? 20:25 It's coming up and saying it's what it's going to do. You can also rename a tag which will find all the resources that has that tag and change it on them. 20:35 And then tidy up tags is quite handy. What this can do is it actually intelligently finds possible duplicates or sort of mess and can help you tidy that up. 20:45 So that's another user interface nicety that shipped in August.
