How to use Sapience with others.

Managing Shares

💡

Sapience is fundamentally an enterprise data + AI platform, so sharing and collaboration is core to every part of the app. Sapience is great by yourself. It’s way better with others.

What can I Share?

All of Sapience’s major objects can be shared: Notes, Files, Projects, Conversations/Chats, Agents.

Here’s an example of sharing a project, but the share dialogue for all objects is very similar.

Share Permission Levels:

Read-only: just what it sounds like. Users who are recipients of a read-only share can see the resource in question and its contents, but not edit it. So a read-only conversation lets others read the chat transcript, a read-only file lets them download it and chat with it etc.

Write: this means the other user can modify/mutate the resource. Or - collaborate with you! A shared conversation is essentially a group chat between several humans and one or more AI Agent. The most common place to do write sharing is within a Project, where you want to collaborate with others, delegate tasks to them etc.

Managing Shares:

You can get a global view of everything shared with you, or shared by you in one central place. Go to Menu > Manage Shares.

Shared with me: on this screen you can 1) see what is shared with you; 2) your permissions; 3) quickly navigate to the resource easily.

Shared By Me: one single place to manage everythign you’ve shared with others. You can see the type of object, the permission level (and you can change it here), as well as easily delete shares individually or in bulk.
