Sapience’s Built-in Skills

The Built-in Skills are amazing productivity enhancers worth knowing about.

Last Updated: 2026.07.09

Overview

The list of built-ins is growing every week. See https://www.SapienceHQ.com/ai-store for current live list.

Skills are Sapience's superpower: focused capabilities you can switch on to make an agent do something specific and do it really well — build a slide deck, design an interactive dashboard, publish a website, run a team of agents, or simply structure its answer a certain way.

This page is the complete catalogue of the skills built into Sapience, grouped by what they're for, with a one-line summary of what each produces. (For the bigger picture of how skills work — activating them, how the agent picks them up, building your own — see the main Sapience Skills — a Superpower article.)

How to read this list

  • You activate a skill from the skill picker in the chat, or by naming it. Once active, the agent follows that skill's playbook for your request.
  • Some skills the agent turns on for you automatically when it senses they'd help.
  • Where it's useful, we note the artifact each skill produces (a chat reply, an inline chart, a shareable link, a PowerPoint-ready deck, etc.).

Thinking & Planning

Skills that shape how the agent approaches your request — before it produces anything.

Skill
What it does
Brainstorming
Explores intent, requirements, and design before any implementation. When you're starting something new, the agent collaborates on the design first — asking one clarifying question at a time, surfacing tradeoffs, and presenting a plan for your approval — so you don't get polished output built on the wrong assumptions.
Using Plan Mode
For non-trivial, multi-step work. The agent writes a plan up front, then works through it in a deliberate plan → do → check cadence, keeping a visible checklist of what's done vs. still pending so nothing drifts.
Team of Agents
Assembles and runs a team of specialist agents for you — several independent sub-tasks, multiple expert perspectives on one question, or a multi-step pipeline. It grounds the plan in the agents you actually have, decides parallel vs. sequential, and presents a team plan for your approval before running.

Answer Formatting

Lightweight skills that change the shape of the agent's written reply — no special artifact, just a better-structured answer.

Skill
What it does
10-Point Plan
Forces the answer into exactly 10 numbered points under a heading — great for summaries, action plans, key lessons, or pros/cons where a structured overview adds clarity.
Detailed Mode
Produces a long, thorough response (2,000+ words) with an executive summary, headings, bullet points, and a summary table. Ideal for deep dives, research topics, and technical explanations.

Slides & Presentations

Skills that turn your content into presentation decks.

Skill
What it does
Output
Slide Output
Creates professional presentation slides (title, bullets, two-column, quotes, timelines, and more) as clean HTML.
Slides you can view in the chat or export to PowerPoint.
Animated Slide Deck
Builds a visually stunning, auto-advancing, narrated presentation — scene-based, with entrance animations and ambient motion. Great for explainers, sizzle reels, and video-style walkthroughs.
A password-protected shareable website.
Slide Image Generator
Generates professional 16:9 slide images using AI image generation — clean layouts, readable typography, consistent themes.
Slide images, ready to drop into any deck. Installable from the Skill Store.

Documents & Publishing

Skills that produce polished, shareable documents and pages.

Skill
What it does
Output
Report
Creates long, dense, beautifully designed documents — reports, proposals, briefings, prospectuses, white papers, case studies. Editorial on screen (rich typography, cover page, callouts, KPI tiles, charts); degrades cleanly to print/PDF.
A password-protected shareable link.
Printout
Creates print-ready documents (US Letter or A4, portrait or landscape) that print perfectly on paper — memos, letters, one-pagers.
A password-protected shareable web page built to print.
Website
Publishes any content — slides, reports, documents — as a self-contained interactive webpage anyone can open in their browser.
A password-protected public link.
PRD
Interviews you first to close the gaps, then writes a rigorous, strict-schema Product Requirements Document — concrete, testable requirements, never vague adjectives — and publishes it as a report.
A password-protected shareable report link.

Data & Visuals

Skills that turn information into visuals — from a single inline chart to a full interactive dashboard.

Skill
What it does
Output
Data Dashboard
Turns an Excel sheet, CSV, or any tabular data into a polished, interactive dashboard — KPI tiles, charts, filters, drill-downs. The "make my numbers look good" skill.
A password-protected shareable web link.
Charts
Produces interactive Plotly.js charts — bar, line, scatter, pie, heatmap, histogram, dual-axis, waterfall, and 40+ more — with zoom, hover, and pan.
Rendered inline in the chat.
Diagrams
Creates Mermaid diagrams with validated syntax: flowcharts, sequence, class, state, ER diagrams, Gantt charts, pie charts, mind maps, and user journeys.
Rendered inline in the chat.
Infographic
Creates professional infographics — stats summaries, process visuals, side-by-side comparisons, marketing graphics. Default output is crisp, recolorable SVG; a hybrid raster path is available for painterly/photoreal looks.
A designed infographic.
Inline SVG Graphics
Lets the agent drop small inline SVG visuals — icons, callouts, badges, comparison splits, simple flow diagrams, KPI tiles — right into a chat answer when a picture strengthens the point.
Rendered inline in the chat. (Used on-demand by the agent rather than picked from the menu.)
Data Storytelling
Turns your data into a decision-driving narrative — context, tension, the key insight, and a recommendation — front-loading the "so what" and picking the one chart that makes each point (drawing via Charts and Data Dashboard).
A data narrative built on charts & dashboards.

Which visual skill when? Use Diagrams for architecture/flow diagrams, Charts for interactive data visualisations, Inline SVG Graphics for a quick visual inside an answer, Infographic for a full marketing graphic, and Data Dashboard for multi-tile, filterable dashboards.

Research & Analysis

Skills that investigate a topic or a decision and produce a reasoned, evidence-backed answer.

Skill
What it does
Output
Deep Research
Investigates a topic across multiple independent sources, weighs their credibility and recency, and synthesizes a fully cited analysis — honest about consensus, disagreement, and confidence — then renders it as a long report. (Quizzes you first, then confirms the scope before the run.)
A password-protected shareable report link.
Strategy Advisor
Sharp, pragmatic guidance for a business decision — frames the choice, weighs options and trade-offs with proven frameworks (SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, a 2×2 matrix), and lands a clear recommendation with its key risks and assumptions.
A reasoned recommendation in the chat.

Writing & Communication

Skills that draft and refine the words you send.

Skill
What it does
Output
Editor
Edits and proofreads text you already have — clarity, grammar, style, concision — without changing your meaning or voice, and calls out the most important changes it made.
Edited text in the chat (or edits your note/file in place).
Email Drafter
Drafts professional, purpose-fit emails — outreach, follow-ups, replies, declines, intros, announcements — with a strong subject line and one clear ask, matched to the audience.
A ready-to-send email — it can send to your inbox.

Business & Finance

Skills for rigorous financial analysis and valuation.

Skill
What it does
Output
Financial Models
Builds industry-standard valuation models — DCF with WACC and terminal value, sensitivity and scenario tables, optional Monte Carlo — with every assumption stated explicitly, real market data, and formula/reconciliation checks before delivery.
An Excel workbook + a plain-English summary of value drivers and risks.

Behind-the-Scenes Helpers

Some skills you won't see in the picker — they're utility skills the platform uses automatically to raise the quality of other skills' output.

Skill
What it does
Frontend Design
Ensures generated web interfaces are distinctive and production-grade — creative, polished code that avoids generic "AI-looking" aesthetics. It runs automatically as a building block of skills like Website, so anything you publish looks its best.

Summary

Sapience skills range from lightweight answer-shapers (10-Point Plan, Detailed Mode) to heavyweight artifact builders that produce a finished, shareable deliverable — a narrated animated deck, a branded report, an interactive dashboard, a published website, a cited research report, or a financial model. Many of the richer skills wrap their result in a password-protected shareable link so you can hand it to a client or colleague instantly.

Turn one on when you want the agent to specialise — or just describe what you want and let the agent reach for the right skill on its own.
